I consulted Dr. Abhishek for treatment of my finger joint issues. He was compassionate, took the time to understand my condition, and recommended only the tests and treatment I actually needed instead of prescribing unnecessary medications. What stood out most was his focus on finding a long-term solution rather than providing only temporary relief. His patient-centered approach and genuine concern inspired confidence throughout the consultation.

I came to Dr. Abhishek for a second opinion after receiving a diagnosis of Ankylosing Spondylitis, which was quite frightening given the nature of the disease. Dr. Abhishek was incredibly attentive, listened to every detail, and conducted a thorough review of my scans. He concluded that my condition was not Ankylosing Spondylitis and that regular mobility exercises would be beneficial. Thank you, Dr. Abhishek, for your thorough care and excellent guidance.

Questions people often ask

Is rheumatoid arthritis the same as normal joint pain or wear and tear?

+

No. Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune condition, where the immune system attacks the lining of the joints. Wear-and-tear arthritis (osteoarthritis) is different and is treated differently, which is why the right diagnosis matters.

How is rheumatoid arthritis diagnosed?

+

Your rheumatologist listens to your story and examines your joints. Blood tests such as RF, anti-CCP, ESR and CRP, and sometimes an X-ray or joint ultrasound, help confirm it. No single test decides it on its own.

Can rheumatoid arthritis be treated?

+

Yes. There is no permanent cure yet, but with early treatment most people control their symptoms well and protect their joints from damage. Your rheumatologist plans your medicines and check-ups with you.

Why see a rheumatologist early?

+

Joint damage in rheumatoid arthritis can start in the first months. Starting the right treatment early gives you the best chance of keeping your joints healthy.

Will I need tests at every visit?

+

Not always. Some medicines need regular blood tests to check they are safe for you. Your rheumatologist orders only what you need, and we accept recent outside reports.
