I consulted Dr. Abhishek for treatment of my finger joint issues. He was compassionate, took the time to understand my condition, and recommended only the tests and treatment I actually needed instead of prescribing unnecessary medications. What stood out most was his focus on finding a long-term solution rather than providing only temporary relief. His patient-centered approach and genuine concern inspired confidence throughout the consultation.

I came to Dr. Abhishek for a second opinion after receiving a diagnosis of Ankylosing Spondylitis, which was quite frightening given the nature of the disease. Dr. Abhishek was incredibly attentive, listened to every detail, and conducted a thorough review of my scans. He concluded that my condition was not Ankylosing Spondylitis and that regular mobility exercises would be beneficial. Thank you, Dr. Abhishek, for your thorough care and excellent guidance.

Questions people often ask

Can I have psoriatic arthritis without psoriasis?

+

Yes, but it is uncommon. Most people have skin psoriasis first, often years earlier. Up to about 1 in 3 people with psoriasis develop psoriatic arthritis.

Is there a single test for psoriatic arthritis?

+

No. Your rheumatologist checks your joints, skin and nails, and uses blood tests, X-ray or ultrasound to rule out other conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and gout.

Can psoriatic arthritis be treated?

+

Yes. There is no cure, but treatment controls symptoms, reduces flare-ups and protects your joints. Medicines work best alongside exercise and physiotherapy.

Why treat it early?

+

Left untreated, psoriatic arthritis can damage the joints over time. Early treatment helps prevent lasting damage and gives better results.

Should I see a skin doctor or a rheumatologist?

+

A rheumatologist manages the joints and a dermatologist treats the skin. They often work together, and your rheumatologist will guide you on when you need both.
